Standard ventilation systems can waste valuable energy and have an impact on the environment by ejecting heated air out of the building. On the other hand, Heat Recovery Ventilation (HRV) systems conserve the energy by recovering the heat in the stale air and transferring it to the air coming into the building. These systems are capable of efficiencies of over 86%.
The system extracts the stale air from the wet rooms e.g. kitchen and bathrooms, and supplies fresh warmed air into the habitable rooms such as the living and bedrooms. Brook Airchanger has designed the system to ensure that there is no cross contamination of airflow in the unit. The systems also come with fresh air inlet and extract filters ensuring that the HRV unit and airflow are kept clean and contaminate free.
